SAMARTH Admission Portal
In a bid to streamline the admission process for Under Graduate Programmes in all Higher Education Institutes of Assam, Govt. of Assam has launched an common online admission portal called SAMARTH. SAMARTH Admission Portal will facilitate the admission process of BA, BCom, BSc, etc in online mode as per New Education Policy 2020 in Assam.
“Samarth” is an initiative by the Ministry of Education started in 2019, under the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology NMEICT-II (now NMEICT-III), with an aim to enable the universities and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) through a digital framework for planning, management, delivery, and monitoring of services for students, staff, and other stakeholders. Under the project, the HEIs are provided with a fully managed, cloud based, comprehensive ERP that is custom built for HEIs of the country.

The students aspiring to take admissions in all the government and aided colleges of Assam and universities can now use this integrated admission platform called Assam State Higher Education Admission Portal to get admitted in the desired course and institution. Students would now not have to move from place to place for submitting admission forms.
Further, the students registering themselves in the portal can apply in ten colleges of his/ her choice. The admission would be given in the college and course of the choice of the student on the basis of merit. Apart from being convenient the portal would also save the money of the students.

How to Apply for Assam College Admission?
So, starting from this academic session, Govt. of Assam has abolished the old admission process for UG admission. All the students who have passed Higher Secondary final examination now have to apply online through Samarth Portal for Bachelor Degree courses.
Once, online application process is over, students can take admission in his college of choice as per merit list. The Samarth Online Admission Process has been elaborated below.
Step 1: Scroll down, go to Important Web-Link’s section.
Step 2: Click Online Application Form Link.
Step 3: First Register yourself putting your basic details.
Step 4: Next, enter all personal and educational information as required.
Step 5: Upload your educational and other documents as required.
Step 6: At the end, submit the form. An acknowledgement receipt will be generated.
Step 7: Also, take a print of the submitted form and acknowledgement copy .
Students can give 10 options of UG programme in Colleges/University in the application.
