Our mission is to ensure access to quality education for the most vulnerable and marginalised populations, especially children, so they can take charge of their own development and contribute to a more peaceful and sustainable world.Our programs are managed through Offices in Bhopal, Chennai, Guwahati, Gurugram, Hyderabad & Patna. In line with the human resource requirements of our organization, we seek to fill in the following position.Position Description:Job Title:Project ManagerPosition LocationNorth Lakhimpur, Assam, IndiaPosition TenureProject-based, July 2023 – December 2025Nature of positionFull TimeReporting toProgramme ManagerLanguage RequiredAssamese, English, HindiProject Description:Aide et Action through its Guwahati Regional Office is implementing the “Strengthening Access and Quality Education in Lakhimpur (SAQEL) project supported by Childaid Network, Germany and with funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).The project aims to provide accelerated learning support to 10000 rural government school-going children of grades 3 to Grade 8 in 100 schools. The project is implemented in across 2 education blocks of Lakhimpur districts (Bihpuria and Nowboicha) in Assam.Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for the overall management of the project in the district, which includes (but not limited to) timely quality implementation of project activities.Ensure the project resources deployed and allocated placed suitably as per the requirements and implementation plan.Conduct monitoring and evaluation of project components;Identify training needs of the project delivery team and organize necessary capacity building measures.Liaisoning and networking with the relevant stakeholders and the concerned Block and District Education authorities.Responsible for project process and result documentation for capturing the project learnings and its dissemination to various stakeholders.Maintain close coordination and relationship with internal and external project stakeholders.Ensure preparation and timely submission of progress reports.Ensure smooth coordination and cooperation among the project team.Ensure implementation and supervision of monitoring system and facilitate use of information at all levels.The incumbent would be based in Lakhimpur and report to the Sr. Programme Manager.Qualification and Experience:Post-Graduate in Education/Social Sciences or another relevant field.Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the education sector.Experience working with educators and education departments is preferred.Proven ability to work effectively with schools, communities and state govt.Experience in leading teams and project cycle management.Strong technical understanding on issues related to.Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Assamese.Proven track record of achieving results.Ability to travel extensively to project locations in the district.Desired Competencies:Possess strong work ethic and require minimal direction.Critical thinking and analytical skills.Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment.Compensation: The incumbent will be paid monthly Gross Salary in the range of INR. 47000 to INR 52000 per month. Travel, per diem and telephone allowances will be as per AEA’s policies and subject to project budget provisions.To apply: Aspirants who possess experience & competences as per the job specification mentioned & consider themselves suitable are encouraged to email their updated CVs along with a Cover Letter highlighting their suitability for the position to recruit.guwahati@aide-et-action.org with the subject line: Project Manager – SAQEL by 15th July 2023. Incumbents are also requested to kindly provide details of their current/last drawn salary in the covering note.Aide et Action is an equal opportunity employer.
