To know more about the organization, click here.About Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Unit:LLF adopts a comprehensive approach to drive significant and widespread transformative change for FLN. One of our primary strategies is to focus on the Continuous Professional Development of government stakeholders who serve as teachers, teacher educators, academic resource personnel, master trainers, and administrators. To achieve this, we offer a range of online and blended learning courses and workshops, both short-term and long-term, covering topics such as Early Language and Literacy, Academic Support, Multilingual Education, and Foundational Numeracy. These programs aim to enhance the capacity of individuals within the education system and cultivate advocates for transformative teaching and learning practices. It is worth noting that only a limited number of organizations invest in such extensive system capacity building initiatives.To date, LLF has been actively supporting state governments in building the capacity of their government stakeholders. As part of our strategic plan, we are also committed to strengthening the FLN ecosystem in India. We intend to extend our support to other NGOs, smaller organizations, and private institutes that are working towards the FLN mission. Specifically, we will focus on building the staff capacity of these organizations through the dissemination and implementation of various short-duration courses and workshops, which will be offered on a paid basis. This initiative aims to empower these entities to excel in the field of FLN and achieve impactful outcomes.Role Objective: The manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive business model for LLF’s programs focused on continuous professional development. This involves market research and need analysis, overseeing and defining course offerings, pricing strategies, revenue distribution, platform setup, marketing, partnerships, and continuous improvement initiatives.Responsibilities and Tasks:1. Market Study for Professional Development Courses in FLN:Conduct market research in collaboration with LLF to understand the demand for professional development courses in FLN.Identify and profile the target audience based on demographics, industries, job roles, and skill levels.Research and analyze the types of courses that are in demand to define the market size and identify opportunities for LLF.Determine the preferred course duration and engagement models (mentoring vs. non-mentoring).Assess the target audience’s pricing expectations, willingness to invest in their professional development and benchmark against existing pricing models.Understand the preferred online engagement methods, interactive features, and learning formats.Conduct competitor analysis to identify existing offerings, pricing models, and market positioning.2. Course Offering and Monetization:Collaborate with the team to finalize the course catalog, including types of courses, topics, and formats.Develop a tiered pricing strategy based on course complexity and content depth.Define bundled course packages and pricing for comprehensive learning experiences.3. Course Format and Platform Setup:Determine the optimal mix of online-only and blended courses based on market demand and LLF’s capabilities.Research and select a secure and user-friendly course registration and payment platform.Coordinate with LLF’s technical team to set up the payment gateway and ensure smooth transactions.4. Partnerships and Revenue Distribution:Identify potential partnerships with e-learning platforms (e.g., Coursera, Udemy) and negotiate revenue-sharing agreements.Develop a revenue distribution plan that allocates funds for course development, marketing, operational costs, and LLF’s growth.5. Marketing Strategy and Promotion:Collaborate with LLF’s communication team to develop a comprehensive marketing plan aligned with LLF’s goals and target audience.Utilize digital marketing channels, content creation, social media, and influencer partnerships to promote courses effectively.Implement promotions, discounts, and referral programs to attract learners.6. Target Audience and Customer Segmentation:Define specific target audience segments based on demographics, industries, and learning needs.Tailor marketing materials and strategies to resonate with each segment’s preferences and pain points.7. Customer Support and Engagement:Establish a responsive customer support system to address inquiries, concerns, and technical issues promptly.Monitor learner engagement and satisfaction, gathering feedback for improvement.8. Continuous Improvement and Course Enhancement:Analyze course engagement data, completion rates, and learner feedback to identify areas for improvement.Collaborate with LLF’s content development team to update course content and structure.9. Pilot Testing and Feedback Incorporation:Coordinate with LLF to conduct pilot testing of courses with a small group of learners.Collect feedback and insights from pilot participants to refine the courses before full launch.10. Course Implementation:Manage the end-to-end process of implementing our short-duration courses and workshops for external audiences.Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and content creators to develop high-quality course materials.Design the annual calendar and determine appropriate batch sizes for different CPD programs.Collaborate with mentors to implement the scheduled programs and ensure a smooth learning experience for participants.Ensure the courses are delivered effectively on our learning management system (LMS) or other platforms.Oversee the enrolment process, course access, and technical support to ensure a smooth learning experience for participants.Monitor and evaluate course performance, collect participant feedback, and implement improvements based on the feedback received.Qualifications –Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field; master’s preferred.Experience: Proven track record in program management and business development, with a focus on teacher education or professional developmentUnderstanding of Education Landscape: In-depth knowledge of the education sector especially the foundational years, including familiarity with professional development needs of educators, current trends, and best practices.Strategic Planning: Ability to develop and execute strategic plans for business development and strengthening of the FLN ecosystem including market analysis, identification of growth opportunities, setting measurable objectives and developing strategies.Partnership Building: Strong networking and relationship-building skills to establish partnerships with schools, non-government organizations, and other stakeholders. Experience in negotiating and managing partnerships to achieve mutual goals.Marketing: Experience in marketing and promotion strategies to attract potential partners.Financial Management: Proficiency in budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost-benefit analysis to ensure the financial sustainability of CPD programs.Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to promote programs and effectively communicate the value and impact of continuous professional development programs to various stakeholders.Project Management: Strong project management skills, including planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programs and initiatives.
