Project Concern International/India (PCI) has been working in India since 1998. Over these several decades, PCI has maintained a diversified portfolio, working in rural and urban settings in the areas of health, nutrition and community development with programs focusing on low-income, vulnerable and hard-to-reach populations in close partnership with national and state governments and civil society organizations. Currently, PCI/India programs are spread across 15 states and 2 union territories, including – Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Dadar and Nagar Haveli, and Lakshadweep. About the Project: Continuum of health care: Health & JEEViKA convergence model. JTSP proposes to develop a continuum of health care model, with a seamless coordination between JEEViKA and Health department, spanning disease identification (screening; at point diagnostics), tele counselling, social marketing of a bundle of products (Business in a box), referral to hospitals, ensuring priority care in tertiary hospitals through Swasthya Mitra, and running of Jan Aushadhi kendra. JTSP intends to initiate these pilots through an exploratory and iterative process involving both community level and departmental (both Health and JEEViKA) stakeholders. About the Position PCI is looking to hire a Program Manager – Convergence to establish a close and strong coordination with JEEViKA and Health Department to develop a continuum of health care model by ensuring priority care in tertiary hospitals and Jan Aushadhi Kendra run by community through Jeevika Community platforms in Bihar. S/he will be accountable for the delivery of project outcomes, foster partnership with government and other stakeholders, actively involved in policy advocacy for as per the program strategy and pursue program growth opportunities. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Program Management: Work closely with the State Health Society & JEEViKA to establish strong collaboration and quality implementation of project deliverables Organize and conduct state level workshops and capacity building activities Provide support to district leads of DHS and Jeevika in the pilot district to leverage and work seamlessly to deliver the project outcome Setting up a proper MIS, reporting and documentation system and planning and review mechanism Explore and Linkage with public and private service providers in establishing their satellite health center in rural areas to provide Medical consultancy and if needed referral Capacitate, enable and handhold the CBOs (CLF) in screening of the common health problem with digital testing tool for diagnostics like common test such as Sugar, BP, temperature and few of other blood tests, and running Health Kiosk and Jan Aushadhi Kendra Enable CBOs and promotion of ICT based app which will provide facilities of on line Medical consultation with Doctors through SANJEEVANI portal of Govt. of Bihar. Networking with Public & Private partners for training of Jeevika Cadres and CBO leaders in doing health screening through digital gadgets and running health kiosk and Jan aushadhi Kendra. Enabling and handholding of CBOs (CLF) to establish and run a NRC to treat the SAM children identified from the community Strengthening VHSND and Annaprashan day activity as a model convergence outcome in the pilot district in close coordination with Jeevika, Health and ICDS department Regular and intensive field visit to the assigned Family Planning districts for Supportive Supervision of field activities around Family Planning Undertake joint field visits with SHS and Jeevika leads for learning and better planning Represent the organization at different forums and meetings held at state and district levels Identify and evaluate the risks associated with program activities and take appropriate action in consultation with Senior Management Team. Any other activities as assigned by supervisor and the organization. Documentation and Research: Engage actively in any research conducted by the measurement team for the program. Ensure high level documentation of best practices from field and contribute to knowledge bank of the organization. Lead report writing for Government and others as appropriate. Qualification: Post Graduate degree in Social Work/ Social Science/Public Health, Rural development or any other relevant fields. Required Experience: A minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in public health, including a minimum three years of divisional / Regional level experience in managing & leading health programs. Experience of building and nurturing government relationships. Experience of designing and executing social mobilization program Experience of working around and managing Family Planning programs would be given preference. Skills & Competencies: Understanding of the development sector and critical cross cutting themes such as gender and advocacy. Possess leadership skill and is decisive, action oriented and adaptable. Strong networking and relationship building skills. Ability to work against tight timelines. Excellent knowledge of MS office. Fluency in verbal and written English, Hindi and local language. Willingness to travel to the field.
