![]() Position: Program Coordinator – Monitoring & Evaluation (Knowledge team) Type of appointment: Full-time (6 months’ probation period) Location: Bangalore Starting date: Immediately Experience: 3 to 5 years Travel: 10 days a month About SELCO Foundation: SELCO Foundation is an open-source, not-for-profit organization that engages in field-based R&D and ecosystem building for the deployment of clean energy solutions that alleviate poverty in tribal, rural, and urban poor areas. The organization works in collaboration with practitioners in the social sector, energy entrepreneurs, NGOs from various developmental sectors, and educational institutions to link the benefits of sustainable energy to poverty eradication. The organization works across verticals such as energy access, health, water purification, livelihoods, and enterprise development with practitioners in the social sector, energy entrepreneurs, and partners from various developmental sectors. Job Description: This position would require the candidate to have skills in deploying social impact evaluation research projects, analytical thinking, and interpersonal communication skills. This position would require the candidate to have strong coordination and administrative skills to manage the research study-associated activities. The candidate is expected to assist in research project planning and ensures that pre-established work scope, study protocol, and regulatory requirements are followed. Roles and Responsibilities: • Work alongside the manager/team to streamline data collection and support strategies for tracking and monitoring (baseline, midline, and end-line) reporting outcomes at regular intervals. • Manage the quality of data captured, establish and maintain database systems across programs, and analyze data for reporting purposes. • Coordinating and supervising need assessment and research activities of the program, participating in and conducting training and research activities. • Undertake regular visits as necessary to the field to support the team in monitoring progress to identify where adaptations might be needed. Prepare reports on the case studies, and record on-field observations in manual/app-based formats as necessary while coordinating the smooth tracking of findings, working closely with technical staff and partners for the success of the program. • Develop new databases, as necessary, and find ways to integrate information from other databases to support better organizational utilization of data. • Conduct ongoing consultations with team members to gather primary information. This would be via conversations, analysis of available documentation as well as field visits in partnership with implementation teams. • Support organizational reporting work by creating synthesized information packets as per the program/thematic area of work in question. Qualification and Requirements: • Master’s degree in social work, social entrepreneurship, economics, management, demography, or any other relevant field that includes training in social research and statistical analysis. • Between 3-5 years of working experience in the MLE or Research sector • Knowledge of M&E systems, MIS, Impact evaluations, etc • Familiarity with research methodologies, study tools, and capacity building • Experience in managing a field study team, data collection, and data management • Knowledge of the livelihood sector, renewable energy, and social development • Efficient user of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Fluency in oral and written English.
