This recognition is a testament of the organization’s high-trust, high-performance work culture.Visit us at: www.ipasdevelopmentfoundation.orgGeneral Description:Ipas Development Foundation is implementing a project in Assam, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan to support improving focus on reversible contraceptive usage among young women, especially in rural communities. The project involves a mix of interventions at the health systems and community level – working closely with the government to enhance family planning services in government health facilities, especially choice, improving awareness on reversible contraceptives, and facilitating behaviour change towards family planning among individuals who have the greatest unmet need.The position will be responsible for providing technical oversight for the project at the divisional level and, will contribute to the accomplishment of project goals and objectives pertaining to the division.Duties and Responsibilities:The Nursing Trainer will be a technical resource for the team at the divisional level and responsible for building their capacity on Family Planning (FP) interventions. The position will work with other team members to develop workplans and ensure achievement of approved targets. The responsibilities of the Nursing Trainer will include the following:1.  Technical SupportProvide technical support to the district health officials in the division in planning and developing the FP training calendar in the district.Based on need, provide on-site support to trained providers and clinical mentoring support to the trained providers and ensure high-quality service delivery.2.  Capacity BuildingBuild capacities of providers by facilitating sessions including those on Values Clarification and Attitude Transformation (VCAT) and other technical topics related to reversible contraceptives during government FP training.Orient providers/counsellors to ensure unbiased and choice-based reversible contraception for low-parity women.Orient Community Health Intermediaries (CHIs) on reversible methods and demystify myths and misconceptions related to contraceptive use.3.  Data analysis and program designReview and track service provision of reversible contraception, devise solutions and contribute to the improvement of services.Support the team in adopting innovative strategies for program improvement.4.  OthersCarry out any other duties as may be required for the position.Qualification and Experience:           Graduate/ Post-graduate with a degree in BSc (Nursing)/ MSc (Nursing).At least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in the reproductive health sector or family planning programs is preferable.Work experience with international NGOs, local NGOs, government health facilities or health departments of state governments would be an advantage.Ability to read, write and speak English and Hindi.
