Qualification for Railway HS School:
(i) Primary Teacher
1. Senior secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and B.Ed/Diploma in Elementary Education (D.ELED/J8T/PTT) (by whatever name Known)
And
2. Pass in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) to be conducted by the appropriate Government in accordance with Guidelines framed by the NICE for the purpose and must have competency to teach in English Medium.
(ii) Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)
# Post Graduate in relevant subject & B.Ed with competency to teach in English/Assamese medium.
(iii) Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT)
# (1) Must have second class Bachelor’s degree (in teaching subject) and B.Ed. AND (2) Pass in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the approved Government in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose AND (3) Competence to teach through English Medium/Media as required at least he/she should have the language paper in secondary level. (4) For PTI graduate from a recognized University with Diploma in Physical training from a recognized institution. Or, BPED from a recognized University and Higher Secondary. (5) For Fine Arts Bachelor’s degree with Drawing & Painting/Fine Arts with minimum 2 years full time Diploma from a recognized Institution.
(iv) Computer Teacher
# MCA/BCA M.Sc. (Computer Science)/B.Sc. (Computer Science) B.Tech. (Computer Science)/PGDCA from recognized institution/University.
(v) Dance Teacher
# Senior Secondary School Certificate with 50% marks or Intermediate with 50% marks or its equivalent and Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Dance or equivalent from a recognized University. Competence to teach through English/Hindi media.
(vi) Music Teacher
# (1) Senior Secondary School Certificate with 50% marks or Intermediate with 50% marks or its equivalent and Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Instrumental Music or equivalent from a recognized University. (2) Competence to teach through English/Hindi. (3) Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications.
(v) Spoken English
# (1) Graduate with English as one of the subjects. (2) A certificate of Degree/Diploma in Spoken English Course Program of not less than Six months duration. (3) Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Application.
Remuneration for Railway HS School
# Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) all subjects Rs. 27,500/- per month.
# Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) all subjects Rs. 26,250/- per month.
# Primary Teacher (PRT) all subjects Rs.21250/-per month.
# Others Will be paid on basis of actual working days in a month.
Age Limit for Railway HS School
# The candidate should be between the age of 18 and 65 years (as per KVS rules) as on date of interview and selected candidate shall not be eligible to continue their contract services beyond 65 years.
