Child in Need Institute (CINI), a leading national level professionally managed NGO in India with 46 years track record since 1974. Presently CINI reaches to 10 million marginalized rural and urban populations in West Bengal, Jharkhand, Assam, Odhisa and other Indian states/Union territories. CINI’s Health Nutrition Programming

For nearly 5 decades now, CINI has been implementing community based health & nutrition programmes with the objective to prevent malnutrition and ill health among women, children and adolescents in four states of India. In implementing the programmes, CINI adopts a life cycle approach in working with the target groups in ensuring their health and well being through promoting community ownership and system strengthening. All the programmes are implemented in close coordination with the respective Government Departments right from the grassroots upto the State and National Levels. Efforts are being made to increase access to existing schemes and entitlements that would lead to better health and nutrition outcomes for the communities most in need.

In order to implement such community based health programmes in three states, the following positions are required on an urgent basis

Post: Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning & Research Manager

Stationed at: CINI Head Office, Kolkata

CTC : Rs. 90,000/- PM

Qualification: Post graduate degree/ higher qualifications in Biostatistics/Statistics/Epidemiology/Demography/economics/Public health/ Social sciences with specialized qualification of quantitative research. Experience in designing and conducting public health research/large scale data handling and application of statistical software to data. Experience in related field preferable (Maternal & Child Health). Excellent documentation skills in English is required.

General Criteria: Age limit 28- 40 yrs, Proficiency in MS Office, Advanced Excel/SPSS/stata/R/other statistical packages/online data collection and analysis tools and good understanding of research designs
Languages known: English and functional knowledge of Bengali & Hindi. Excellent documentation skills in English is required.

Job Responsibilities:

Activities to be performed:

1. Designing of project logframe including monitoring and reporting indicators of health based projects
2. Frame research designs, draw sampling methodologies, data collection and analysis process for conducting baseline, end line or midterm reviews
3. Developing project monitoring and reporting tools at different levels to measure project progress
4. Monitoring the core and performance indicators of the project on regular basis
5. Develop quantitative and qualitative reports by analyzing data using different statistical methods
6. Explore potential local, national and global networks of maternal and child health where CINI can be a member and expedite the membership process
7. Ensure publication of learnings generated from implementation in such forums and other peer reviewed journals and presentation of papers in conference/seminars
8. Coordinate with Project staff for ensuring appropriate and effective MIS data flow
9. Documentation of the project, writing donor reports, case studies, process documentation, and documenting good practices from the field
10. Undertake regular field visits to assess the systems and verify data as well as support field staffs in project implementation
11. Any other need-based work as specified by the organization
