Presently the institution reaches to 11 million marginalized rural and urban populations in West Bengal, Jharkhand, Assam, Odisha and other Indian states/Union territories. General Description Project Description: Management of Malnutrition through Creating Access to Nutrition and Food Security for the most vulnerable Rural & Urban populace in Four Districts in three Eastern States of India through enhanced capacity of service providers, convergent actions, and detailed data management for evidence generation are core components of the project. The personnel is responsible for MIS coordination, data management. The position demands developing and conceptualizing strategies for the proper implementation of program activities and coordinate with different stakeholders for the desired outcome. The personnel should ensure sharing and dissemination of project outcomes at the local level with all concerned stakeholders, organize meetings and documenting best case practice for better project visibility and reporting. Position Name: Monitoring & Documentation Personnel Organization: Child in Need Institute (CINI) Location: Guwahati (Assam) No. of Vacancies: 1 Report to: Program Manager Key Responsibilities: • To effectively line manage the team of direct reportee for ensuring efficiency and quality of the output. • To effectively motivate team members for promoting their urge to constantly innovate new strategies and approaches for increasing efficiency of project deliverables. • Periodically reviews performance of each team members in terms of their efficiency, capability, eye-for-details, sincerity and integrity. And, to take action against non-compliance of any of the team members to basic minimum standard in any of these. • To maintain the team strength, by ensuring quick replacements in case of turnovers. • To ensure maximum efficiency of data collection in the district by • To ensure high-level of adherence to the data collection protocol • To ensure completion of agreed task of data collection within timeline • To conduct simple analysis of data as and when required • To build capacity of project team and government counterparts at the project level in use of data • To provide support to the project team in overall data use • To provide support in conducting cognitive testing of any new instrument • Primary data collection in case of urgency or requirement • Conducting interviews of data collectors and preparation of monthly reports to provide feedback to Stat team on quality of data collection and for documentation of the process. Essential Education Qualification: • Master’s degree in Social Sciences/ Statistics/ Public Health from any recognized university with exceptional academic performance • High level of Data analytical ability and aware of software tools for Data analysis like R, SPSS, etc • High to moderate quantitative ability • Excellent communication skill in English & Hindi and Local Language • Ability to read and write English • High level of efficiency in using MS Office-type of applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint, other Data Analysis Software) • Prior knowledge of basics of Maternal and Child Health (MCH) and basics of research (OR, ability to learn these very fast) Preferred: • Experience of working in Maternal and Child Health program (or, at least any Public Health Program). • Strong understanding of Public Health Program (including ICDS) and exposure to different terminologies used in Maternal and Child Health Programs • Experience of team management • Experience of data analysis. • High analytical ability • Good articulation skill • Having eye-for-details • High learning agility • Diligence, Sincerity, Integrity and High Sense of Responsibility • Initiative taking, self-starter, ability to work without external motivations; Pro-activeness and openness to embrace new ideas and new technologies • Innovativeness and creative in solving problems • High level of people management skills – good as team player and team leader • Ability to work at high pressure environment – stretched working hours and flexible schedules in case of requirement • Ability to travel very extensively.
