| JOB DESCRIPTIONPosition Title: Innovation Specialist – SHIU Number of Position(s): 1 Location: Guwahati, Assam Education: Master’s Degree in public health, social work/Social Sciences, or research Experience/ Skills: The incumbent should have:Minimum of Seven years of work experienceExperience of handling systematic data collection and analytics etc. its analysis and use for decision makes at State/District levelProven experience of handling large scale M & E specific projects preferred.Experience in healthcare innovations (including involvement of data handling)Experience of developing SOPs, M&E tools, LFA etc.Proven experience of technical assistance to State/District in the areas related to health system; planning, capacity building, information system management etc.Prior experience in managing public health programs at state levelProven track record of timely and accurate submission of monthly, quarterly and annual reportsPrior experience in partner managementPrior experience in working with national and state governmentsLanguage Proficiency: English and Hindi. Regional language – Assamese will be preferred.Job Role:The Incumbent will hold the Innovation Specialist portfolio in the State Health Innovations Unit (SHIU) in the state of Assam, and help in planning for new innovations and its implementation.The key deliverables will include (but not limited to) the following:Reaching out to academics/researchers and other relevant stakeholders for potential collaboration.Identifying key areas of the schemes (AAA & PMJAY) that require innovation and conduct exercises to map the innovations including start-ups that cater to improvement of schemes (AAA & PMJAY).Undertaking landscaping for establishing holistic innovation centers within the state’s health facilities and affiliated hospitals to improve upon scheme implementation.Conduct surveys, research and consultations to apply the relevant global and national innovations, healthcare models and other relevant programs/systems/processes into the State context.Review the quality of data sources, methods of collecting data and its effectiveness for monitoring and evaluation purposes;Support the development of M&E systems, dashboards and processes that enable the state and national teams to develop strategies for program management;Provide support and build the capacity of the state and other stakeholder in using the dashboard and other M&E tools and techniques.Designing and executing roundtables/ workshop to support healthcare innovation by connecting entrepreneurs to various stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystemComprehensive data analytics with sound interpretation and help the system to make a robust plan of actionSystematic collection, documentation & presentation of information/data for strengthening AAA & PMJAY in the State. Develop mechanism for Grievance redressal and assist for the same. Maintain data base of all relevant documents/communications.
