Indian Navy Sailor Recruitment 2022 – Eligibility Criteria
The Indian Navy has released a Job Advertisement for the recruitment of 2500 Sailor vacancy for Artificer Apprentice (AA) & Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR) – August 2022 Batch Eligibility Criteria are given below.
Martial Status: Only male unmarried candidates are eligible for these sailor vacancy of Indian Navy.
Educational Qualification: Artificer Apprentice (AA): Qualified in 10+2 examination with 60% or more marks in aggregate with Maths & Physics and at least one of these subjects:- Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science from the Boards of School Education recognized by MHRD, Govt. of India.
Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR): Qualified in 10+2 examination with Maths & Physics and atleast one of these subjects: – Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science from the Boards of School Education recognized by MHRD, Govt. of India.
Age Limit: Candidates who are born between 1st August 2002 to 31st July 2005 (both dates inclusive) are eligible for this Indian Navy recruitment.
Pay & Allowances: During the initial training period, a stipend of ₹ 14,600/- per month will be admissible. On successful completion of initial training, they will be placed in Level 3 of the Defence Pay Matrix (₹ 21,700- ₹ 69,100). In addition, they will be paid MSP @ ₹ 5200/- per month plus DA (as applicable) plus ‘X’ Group pay {only for Artificer Apprentice (AA)} @ ₹ 3600/- per month plus DA (as applicable) as under trainee and ₹ 6200/- per month plus DA on successful completion of AICTE recognized Diploma Course.
Indian Navy Sailor Recruitment 2022 – Selection Process
Due to COVID-19 pandemic, an exception is being made in the public interest wherein approximately 10000 candidates will be called-up for written examination and PFT. The cut off marks may differ from state to state as vacancies have been allocated in a state-wise manner.
i) Written Examination: The details of the written examination to be conducted to select the eligible candidates for this recruitment is as mentioned below.
Medium of Exam: The question paper will be bilingual – Hindi and English.
Type of Question: The questions will be of objective type.
Syllabus: The question paper consists of four sections i.e. English, Science & Mathematics and General Knowledge. All questions will be 12th level questions.
Duration of Exam: The duration of the AA & SSR examination will be of one hour.
Maximum Marks: The maximum marks of the said exam will be 100 marks.
ii) Physical Fitness Test (PFT): Qualifying in Physical Fitness Test is mandatory for selection. The details of PFT is as mentioned below. Running: Candidates will have to complete 1.6 Km race within 7 minutes.
Squat and Push-ups: Candidates will have to complete 20 squats (Uthak Baithak) and 10 push-ups.
