1. Public Prosecutor
No of posts: 26 posts
Pay: Rs. 65000-112000 + Grade Pay of Rs. 18500 + 30% Special Allowance of Basic Pay and other allowances as admissible.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University of India (established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or State Act) or an Institute recognized by the Government of Assam or by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Service Qualification: Having practiced as an Advocate including in the High Court for not less than 8 years, basically on the criminal side.
2. Additional Public Prosecutor
No of posts: 88 posts
Pay: Rs. 30,000 – 1,10,000 + Grade Pay of Rs. 17500 + 30% Special Allowance of Basic Pay and other allowances as admissible
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University of India (established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or State Act) or an Institute recognized by the Government of Assam or by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Service Qualification: Having practiced as an Advocate including in the High Court for not less than 7 (seven) years, basically on the criminal side.
3. Assistant Public Prosecutor
No of posts: 185 posts
Pay: Rs. 30,000 – 1,10,000 + Grade Pay of Rs. 16900 + 30% Special Allowance of Basic Pay and other allowances as admissible
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University of India (established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or State Act) or an Institute recognized by the Government of Assam or by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Service Qualification: Having practiced as an Advocate including in the High Court for not less than 3 (three) years, basically on the criminal side.
Other Criteria of Home & Political Department Recruitment 2024
Citizenship: The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
Age Limit: The candidates should not be more than 45 years of age as of 01/01/2024.
