Job Title: Head of Programme for Purva Bharti Educational Trust Location: Jorhat, Assam Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Programme to lead our Programmes Unit. The Head of Programme will be responsible for overseeing all programs related to promoting quality education for marginalised children, gender equality, advocating for women’s and Child rights, Climate Justice and combating gender-based violence. Responsibilities: Develop and implement the strategic vision and goals of the organization’s gender rights programsProvide leadership and management to program staff, ensuring effective and efficient implementation of programsMonitor program activities and outcomes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectivesDevelop and manage program budgets, ensuring adherence to financial policies and proceduresBuild and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including donors, partners, media and government agenciesDevelop and implement advocacy strategies to advance gender rights and women’s empowermentSupport the development and implementation of gender-sensitive policies and programsDevelop and oversee research and evaluation activities to measure program effectivenessProvide technical support and guidance to program staff and partnersRepresent the organization in relevant forums, meetings, and eventsQualifications:Master’s degree in gender studies, human rights, development studies, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in program management and leadership roles, preferably in a gender rights organizationStrong understanding of gender rights issues and related policy frameworksProven track record in developing and implementing successful advocacy and campaigning strategiesDemonstrated experience in building and maintaining partnerships with donors, government agencies, and civil society organizationsStrong leadership, management, and team-building skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with additional languages like Assamese and Hindi will be an advantageWillingness to travel domestically and internationallyIf you are passionate about gender rights and have a strong commitment to social justice, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity to lead our Programmes Unit by 30th March 2023.
