Headquartered in Chennai, with offices in nine states of the country, SAATHII works in partnership with local authorities, civil society groups and communities marginalized on account of HIV and gender/sexuality to strengthen service provision, uptake and quality, and advocate for access to health, education, social protection, and justice. About the Project SAATHII is implementing a project titled “Decentralizing pediatric TB care services in public & private health sector” across selected geographies. The goal of the project is to decentralize and enhance sample collection to increase pediatric TB case identification, especially among young children, by building capacities of block-level public and private sector facilities across selected districts of multiple states. Job Description SAATHII seeks District Program Manager based at district headquarter of the implementation geographies to lead implementation of project “Decentralizing pediatric TB care services in public & private health sector”. Project Duration: 6-9 months Start Date: 10th April 2023 (preferred) Reporting to: State Technical Specialist Specific responsibilities: • Lead the project implementation at district level • Engage with key stakeholders who include NTEP/Public health department/IAP/IMA/Child Health Programs etc. • Mapping and selection of potential public and private secondary level hospitals for pediatric TB program implementation • Conducting sensitization workshops, meetings and trainings for the health care providers • Coordinate with stakeholders and departments associated with children including government departments of school education, women and child welfare, health and nutrition etc. for increasing access to pediatric TB services • Undertake regular visits to field locations to support capacity building activities, monitoring, evaluation, impact assessment processes and accountability processes. • Document the progress of performance indicators committed under the projects. • Represent the program in various government forums, partner meetings, and professional medical association meetings, and share updates • Develop quality monthly, quarterly progress report; document best practices, case studies and other project related documents • Undertake any other activities and responsibilities as reasonably required by the project and organization Qualifications and Skills: • Post graduate degree in Public Health / Healthcare Management • 1-3 years of progressively responsible professional experience of managing district level programs, and experience with government engagement. Experience with capacity building programs and health systems is necessary. • Understanding of the TB program and private health sector functioning are preferable • Ability to engage with stakeholders from multiple sectors of government, private health care providers, civil society and communities at district levels • Familiarity with experience using M&E data in program management • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, and working knowledge of regional language • Willingness to be based in district headquarters, and travel extensively (15-20 days in a month) to project implementation geographies • Sound computer skills, including use of Internet, MS Office™ software, and data analytics • Ability to work independently and as a team player in a complex, multicultural environment TO APPLY: Interested candidates are requested to send their resumes including two references and covering letter to jobs@saathii.org by 6th April 2023, mentioning the specific Job Code in the email subject line.
