Lutheran World Service India Trust (LWSIT) is inviting applications from the suitable candidates for the following position: 1. Job title: Community Officer Job Location: CAP-R Project in Kokrajhar and Chirang districts of Assam Reporting To: Project Coordinator Nature of Employment: Contractual About the Organization: Lutheran World Service India Trust is a national NGO implementing development programs in the states of Odisha, West Bengal, Assam and Jharkhand, while it implements major humanitarian response projects as pan India program. Qualifications, Skills and Competencies required: • Be a Graduate in Social Work/ Social Science with minimum 3 years’ of work experience in social work/ rural development; • Work experience on Peace and Reconciliation will be added advantage Key Job Responsibility: • Responsible to work as per the goal and objectives of Community Action for Peace and Reconciliation (CAP-R) Project in Assam; • Support communities to develop community action plan and program implementation on different planned activities; • Update the baseline data/ information periodically for the assigned communities; • Organize and conduct different meetings at community and zonal level, awareness program, training etc. with the help of internal or external resource persons; • Form/strengthen SHGs, CBOs/Peace Committees to take up community development works; • Supervise and guide the communities to keep and maintain relevant records like, community profile, different registers including book keeping and record maintenance etc.; • Facilitate the process of creation, accumulation, recycling and recovery of community capital by the SHGs and CBOs to assist the communities/groups; • Timely submission of weekly/bi-weekly/monthly action plan, monthly progress report of project activities, AAP, QMR, AMR, case studies of the project and other reports as and when required; • Ensure process documentation of good/ best practices of program intervention and share across for mutual learning and replication; • Facilitate linkage with Government, self-government, other NGO, Banks, etc. to receive support; • Conduct trainings, sensitization program, awareness programs and other capacity building initiatives on various thematic subject for the community people; How to apply: Interested persons are requested to submit their applications with a covering letter and CV.
