About Centre for Microfinance & Livelihood (CML): As an Initiative of the Tata Trusts, CML imbibes the larger vision, values and goals of the Trusts, carrying along with it, its core competence in capacity building, linkage, facilitation and implementation. Currently, CML is intensively focusing in the states of Manipur, Assam, Tripura, and regions of Meghalaya, under its efforts of Skilling youths, establishing state of the art facilities for promoting Sports and promotion of rural livelihoods.

Job Description:

Position : Cluster coordinator

Total Position : 01 (One)

Work Location : Bokakhat (Golaghat), Assam

Project Period : 20 months(Immediate joining).

Nature of engagement : All engagement under this project will be purely on contractual basis.

Reports to : Project Team Leader

Consultancy fee : INR 30,000-35,000 per month

Job Summary:
The Cluster coordinator is responsible for coordinating, consolidating, and ensuring smooth implementation of program and operations activities in his/her cluster and providing update on a daily basis. The Cluster coordinator will be working under Project Team Leader for successful implementation of the Project Jalodari Phase – II in Assam. Candidates should have his own two-wheeler.

Key functions:

• Implement day-to-day assigned activities of the program in close coordination with Project Team Leader.
• Build awareness among the communities in the target tea estates/villages about the project and its activities.
• Update Project Team Leader of all process and activities.
• Prepare monthly action plan and need base action plan, submit monthly activity reports at specified time.
• Maintain daily registers for all meeting details along with case studies from the field.

Job Responsibilities:

• Formation of (Water User Groups) WUGs and MHM groups as per set guidelines / norms
• Undertake Behavioral Change Communication / Community mobilization activities to create awareness about poor quality water and its impact on human health in coordination with BCC coordinator
• Training of WUGs and other relevant groups on financial management, record keeping, etc. aspects
• To undertake field visit of each tea estate on regular basis and monitor various programmatic interventions being undertaken by volunteer / community members
• Help authority / Water Committee to get necessary statutory permission for land allotment, water source allotment, etc.
• To maintain data in an effective way using excel & basic MIS tools.
• To undertake awareness camps, health camps with school children and use them as agent of change in creating demand for safe drinking water
• Local logistic management for technical equipment, material, etc. being used for the project
• Document all the daily/ weekly/ monthly activities.
• Support other team members and learn from each other
• To undertake any other reasonable duties as and when required dependent on the needs of the project.

Qualification & Experience:

Essential:

• B.E/ B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Polytechnic in civil trade with relevant experience.
• A dynamic individual with an experience of 0-3 years experience in the development sector.
• Proficient in basic computer applications.
• Proficiency in Assamese and English
• Age 22 to 40 years (Exception in special case).
• Candidate have good communication and leadership skills.
• Candidate must be confident to communicate to a group of 10-20 persons.

Desirable:

• Experience in data collection tools and questionnaires.
• Willingness to travel extensively.
