Job Description
Established in 1993, YRGCARE is a premier non-government organization providing comprehensive HIV services in India with the objective to provide prevention, care, support and treatment services for people living with HIV/AIDS, to prevent new infections, and to ensure that patients and their families are treated with dignity.
YRGCARE is a sub-recipient of the Global Fund grant through PLAN International as a Primary recipient for establishing one-stop centers for KP and engaging in activities toward community system strengthening. The overall goal under this grant is to accelerate the national response towards achieving the fast track 95-95-95 targets among KP.
Adequate infrastructure will be provided in the centre for direct service delivery. Flexible timings, community preferred doctor, nurse cum counselor and outreach workers in a non-stigmatizing environment are some of the uniqueness of the one-stop centres. Branding under the banner of NACO will be done across the country so that community can access services anywhere of their choice. The project envisages delivery of comprehensive services including clinical and behavioural interventions as direct services and link intended beneficiaries to the various facilities including of NACO.
Requirements
The One Stop Centre will be primarily working for Transgender and Bridge Population. The One Stop Centre will be managed by a Centre Manager, ANM cum Counselor and two community-friendly outreach workers. The Centre Manager will be the overall in charge of establishment & management of the One Stop Centre as the Integrated Service Delivery Centre. The position will be reporting to the State Manager.
Roles and Responsibilities
Specific roles and responsibilities of the Centre Manager of One Stop Centre would be as follows
- Facilitate community needs assessment to identify community preferred location and design the service delivery mechanism.
- Set up OSC infrastructure and amenities in coherence with the OSC branding guidelines
- Organize camps for Community based HIV Screening (CBS), and leverage other HIV testing modalities, follow up for confirmatory tests and treatment
- Organize comprehensive medical screening and welfare c at the community settings. Facilitate referrals to the ICTC, ART, DSRC, DOTS and other health social centers centres
- Organize expert talks & meetings at the OSC with the network institutions and record the decisions. Facilitate specialized mental health and social services such as employment, legal aid, occupation, life skill employment etc.
- Hold training, sensitizations & coordination committee meetings with diverse local stakeholders such as health care providers, police, lawyers, media etc
- Coordinate with SACS to access HIV service commodities such as condoms, lubricants, Needle Syringes, STI drugs, IEC materials etc.
- Lead in mainstreaming and transitioning of the OSC activities experience-sharing experience sharing meetings organized by YRG CARE, SACS, DAPCU, NHM or any other forums
- Update information/data in the formats related to implementation of the OSC activities
- Timely and prompt submission of reports to the YRG CARE.
