Job Context Undertake all general core activities of finance and accounts within the organization, aligned with departmental targets and goals. Role Purpose To support the Assistant Manager – Finance, Assam Project Office, in the smooth functioning of the day to day operations in the Assam SPO in finance sections including Emergency projects /grants for Assam Flood Response – 2022 Role & responsibilities: Assist AM during process transactions, vouchers, payments after being authorized by the budget holders Review of invoices, supporting documents, muster rolls, daily activity plan of consultants Assist AM for review of procurement related documents & processes Keeping records of financial documents and scanning etc. Assist in Preparation of statement for quarterly TDS return Assist in preparing statements on agreements for rent, consultancy and others Assist in the preparation of budgets Provide support in preparation of audit reports Maintain proper filing system of vouchers and archiving of financial records Facilitate the process of hard and soft archiving of vouchers and supporting documents Assist AM for maintaining real time tracker for expenses / claims / vendor payment / statutory compliances Any other task that may be assigned by the Assistant Manager – Finance & State Lead from time to time Maintain admin expense tracker related to HR, Vehicle etc. under but not limited to Emergency Grants under Assam Flood Response – 2022 Joint visit with team to the field location for verifications purpose on specific matters as asked by the AM or State Lead Reporting, Management and CoordinationThe Consultant will be line managed directly by the Assistant Manager – Finance Additional support and guidance will be provided by the State Programme Manager, based in Assam and Hub Finance Manager Professional Qualifications and Experience Essential (Required) Desirable (Asset) Experience 2-4 years of relevant experience Social development sector experience would beadded advantage Qualification B.Com with good academic record Social development sector experience would beadded advantage Languages Assamese, English, Hindi Professional and Personal CompetenciesClear knowledge of basic accounting Working knowledge in accounting software Knowledge of FCRA, Income Tax & other legal compliances Ability to work long hours and under pressure, when necessary Strong team skills.
