Assam VFA Admission 2025
Directorate of has released the official notification for admission into one year VFA Training Course in Elementary Knowledge of A.H. & Veterinary Science for the Session 2024-2025. This course will be conducted at the School of Veterinary Science & A.H. at Ghungoor, Silchar, Assam and its extended campuses. Interested and eligible candidates of Assam may submit online application for Assam VFA Training Course Admission 2025 till 13th July 2025 for 200 no. of seats.

Eligibility Criteria of Assam VFA Admission
Resident-ship: Candidates must be permanent residents of the State of Assam and are required to uploads scanned copy of the Permanent Resident Certificate(PRC) along with the Online Application.Age Limit: A candidate should not be less than 18 years and should not be more than 30 years of age as on 01/01/2025.
Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable as under:
# OBC/MOBC: 03 (three) years
# SC, ST (P) & ST (H): 05 (five) years
Educational Qualification: Minimum educational qualification required for admission is HSSLC (Science) passed with Biology as a Subject from the recognized University/ Board .
Application Fee of Assam VFA Admission
There will be no application fee for all the categories of candidates .

Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official admission portal starting from 28th September 2022. To apply online they may follow below mentioned steps.

Documents to be uploaded:
Applicants have to upload scanned copies of following documents as applicable.
- For age proof, HSLC Certificate or Admit Card issued by recognized Board/Council.The PRC (Permanent Resident Certificate) issued for Educational Purpose or Receipt of Application for PRC before the Deputy Commissioner’s Office.
- HSLC (or equivalent) Marksheet.
- HSSLC (Sc.) Marksheet.
- Recent Passport Size Photograph.
- Scanned Copy of Signature of the Candidate.
- Caste Certificate/EWS Certificate (For the Financial year 2024-2025) from competent authority if applying for such category.
- DDO’s Certificate in case of serving Grade-IV employees of the Department.

Selection Process of VFA Admission
The following procedure is followed in selection of candidates for admission into the one-year VFA Training Course.
Personnel Assessment Test (PAT)
After thorough scrutiny of applications, eligible candidates are called for Personnel Assessment Test (PAT) of 100 marks as shown below:
(a) Percentage of marks in HSSLC Sc with Biology – 40% weightage
(b) Percentage of marks in HSLC – 20% weightage
(c) Personnel Assessment Test (PAT) – 40% weightage
PAT Syllabus
Questions are asked about Biology, Physics, Chemistry and General Awareness of state & national importance. Five questions are asked by each member of the Selection Board consisting of 2/3 members daily on a rotational basis. Each question carries 4 marks.
Final Merit List
Final merit List is prepared according to total marks obtained (a+b+c) subject to observance of reservation policy. The candidate selected for admission will have to produce physical fitness certificates from the District/ Sub-Divisional Medical and Health Officers.
The selection list confers no right to admission into the VFA Training Course unless the department is satisfied with the suitability of the candidate after a thorough medical examination and verification of all essential documents for eligibility as may be considered necessary before admission to the Course.
