The project will cover Assam (major), West Bengal & South India.Travel: Involves minimum 50% travelType of employment: Long-term contract of 5 years on full time basis with yearly renewal. Project continuity expected for 10 years.Remuneration: Will be commensurate with experience and qualification.YOUR BACKGROUND:Graduate/ Post graduate in agriculture/environmental science/Plant Science or Biotechnology/Environmental Engineering or related qualification. Post graduate qualification is preferred but in exceptional cases deserving graduate candidates may be considered.7-10+ years of proven track-relevant experience of working in tea plantations with engagement towards propagation of sustainable cultivation practices.Experience in low carbon farming practices specific to tea is a strong plus;Experience in conducting soil sampling and field trial implementation is a plus.Experience of working in tea plantations is a must.KEY QUALITIES OF THE COORDINATOR:Manage the field team effectively: empowerment and mentoring of the field implementors to ensure conformity to Field Management Schedule.You take time to know your stakeholders, speak their languages, listen to their points of view and home in on their interests.Quality execution: you know how to monitor the implementation plan and exercise your experience to ensure projects’ outputs, outcomes and impacts by staying close to the field and to project implementers.
