Water For People has initiated a Technical Support Unit (TSU) for the Government of West Bengal, Bihar, and Maharashtra to provide techno-managerial assistance to improve WASH services in the state and district under JJM and SBM2 flagship program. The Jal Jeevan Mission in Assam has demonstrated commendable progress on the initiatives across technology, capacity building, and community mobilization policy. Presently, the state is gearing up to scale up and ensure sustainability of the efforts, with a Vision to make Assam water secure by 2025. To help the State realize its vision, WFP is keen to collaborate with the State ofAssam and the ‘collectives of civil society organization’ to further support JJM scale and sustainability efforts.Job SummaryThe Capacity Building Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the Government of Assam in the successful implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) with an emphasis on strengthening service providers for ensuring sustainability.
