Gauhati High Court has released a notification for the requirement of a Stenographer. Online applications are invited from the citizens of India as defined under Article 5 and 6 of the Constitution of India for fling up of the following vacancies of Stenographer Grade-II and Stenographer Grade-III in the district courts of Assam.
Gauhati High Court Recruitment 2023 Details
1. Stenographer (Grade-II)
No. of Posts: 34
Pay scale: Rs.22000- Rs.97000+ GP Rs.9700/- plus other allowances applicable as per rules.
2. Stenographer (Grade-III)
No. of Posts: 96
Pay Scale: Rs.14000- Rs.60500+ GP Rs.7400/- plus other allowances applicable as per rules
Eligibility Criteria of Gauhati High Court Stenographer Recruitment:
Educational & Other Qualification:
1. For Stenographer (Grade-II):
- i) The candidate must be a graduate from a UGC-recognized University as on the date of advertisement.
- ii) Should possess a Diploma/Certificate in Stenography/Shorthand from ITI/Polytechnic/any other institute. Candidates who are pursuing Stenography/Shorthand may also apply. However, they must submit pass/completion certificate/diploma to the High Court at the time of document verification, unless otherwise decided by the High Court.
- iii) Must have adequate knowledge of the official language (Assamese) of the State of Assam.
- iv) The candidate must possess Employment exchange registration number for the state of Assam.
2. For Stenographer (Grade-III)
- i) Candidate who has passed H.S. examination from any recognized Board/Council/University as on the date of advertisement.
- ii) Should possess a Diploma/Certificate in Stenography/Shorthand from ITI/Polytechnic/any other institute. Candidates who are pursuing Stenography/Shorthand may also apply. However, they must submit pass/completion certificate/diploma to the High Court at the time of document verification, unless otherwise decided by the High Court.
- iii) Must have adequate knowledge of the official language (Assamese) of the State of Assam.
- iv) The candidate must possess an Employment exchange registration number for the state of Assam
Age Limit: Category-wise age limits for the post of both categories of posts, as on the last date of receipt application, is as under:
- Unreserved: 18 to 40 years
- OBC/MOBC: 18 to 43 years
- SC: 18 to 45 years
- ST(P)/ST(H): 18 to 45 years
- PWD: 18 to 50 years
Note: Candidates willing to apply for both posts have to submit separate applications by paying separate application fees.
